Thassos, also known as the green island is a unique island in its beauty and in its production of goods, as nature was generous towards it from the ancient years, by freely offering rich gifts: woodlands, picturesque beaches, mineral resources, olive groves, abundant and varied fruits, wine, honey etc. Along with all of this nature gave to the residents of the island inexhaustible supply of creative activity, that exressed itself in numerous ways in the varied expressions of its culture throughout history.
